While recycling is very new, the ideals of transforming waste products into useful items has been taking shape over the years. However, the term is believed to have been brought to life in a stunning fashion in 1963 after the creation of the world bottle or Heineken WOBO. It was a vision by Alfred Heineken a beer brewer and John Habraken was given the designing work, a Dutch architect.
It can be referred as brick beer holder or beer held in brick. It was far ahead of its time in terms of environmental friendliness and lets lovers of beer and builders design and drink alike at the same time.
