Julien Salaud has created the Grotte Stellaire, or Stellar Cave in English in a hall in Paris known as Palais de Tokyo’s Alice Guy. The luminescent ceiling set up is made up of interweaving white strong strands well held with nails with ultraviolet light being the illuminator.
The work depicts a lot of animal figures and astral imagery.
There are some forms reflecting figurative constellations in the night sky, such as the deer polygonal representations that comes with intertwining and connecting galactic lines. While the setting gives the place a primal feeling that suggests a cave, there is some sense of a futuristic appeal formed by contoured glow of the visuals.
