The Lovely Green Carpet at the Heart of a French Village

The French village of Jaujac has all its visitors accorded a grand entry into the old whitish village with a lovely green grass carpet. The neat carpet was made by Gaelle Villedary when the village was celebrating its 10th anniversary some time back. The carpet is quite long and stretches for a distance of 1,400 feet through the pathways of the village.

The carpet is made from natural material and is ever green. It is quite conspicuous in the village because most of the artistic village is whitish; the wall of the houses and the streets are whitish therefore the green carpet gives it a very nice appearance.

The village is well known for its environmental programs and nature trails therefore the green carpet is a symbol of its environmental concern.
